Job Description: The OPC (Operational Permanent Control) position is based in Berlin and involves implementing and maintaining the risk management and control system for NiCKEL Germany. The role requires working in compliance with internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. The OPC will be part of the General Secretary functions and will collaborate closely with the OPC Central team on all operational risk issues.

Key Responsibilities:

– Operational Risk Management:

– Identify, evaluate, and manage operational risks.

– Update and validate the Risk Mapping (RCSA) and contribute to defining and monitoring risk mitigation measures.

– Analyze needs related to risk taxonomy, process mapping, and organizational mapping.

– Ensure alignment between RCSA and Control Plan (LCP).

– Incident Management:

– Collect, analyze, and update historical and external incidents in the dedicated tool.

– Define and implement corrective measures with stakeholders.

– Monitor external incidents and incorporate them as necessary.

– Organization and Procedures:

– Ensure procedures are correctly stored, updated, and implemented locally, proposing adjustments if needed.

– Ensure adherence to procedures.

– Controls and Control Plans:

– Define and update the local control plan (LCP) based on risk assessments, regulations, and other risk-related events.

– Execute or coordinate control plans, enter results in the dedicated tool, and follow up on remediation actions.

– Action Plans and Reporting:

– Follow up on findings and recommendations, ensuring timely execution.

– Contribute to first-line defense action plans.

– Report operational risk incidents to management and control functions.

– Provide periodic reports to management and control functions.

– Governance and Committee:

– Participate in the preparation of the monthly permanent control Committee, collaborating with OPC Nickel France.

– Support and advise on the validation of new activities.

– Awareness, Training, and Consulting:

– Ensure employees are aware of operational risks and permanent control measures.

Qualifications:

– At least 3 years of experience in the banking or payment industry with a background in audit or control functions.

– Proficiency in English; French is a plus.

– Strong team player with integrity, accuracy, and independent problem-solving skills.

– Reliable and ethical with a general knowledge of the applicable regulatory framework.
